[tex-k] Uninterruptible loop in web2c TeX

This is an indication that something is done in a non-portable way in web2c.
My first guess is (from `man signal'):

       Furthermore, certain blocking system calls are
       automatically restarted if interrupted by a signal handler (see
signal(7)).
