It went kaput. The web-site was alive till a few weeks ago:

I am not sure what "informal fonts" are, but you can find the bitmaps
version of theirs fonts here:

Michael Vulis seems to have stopped answering the emails on MicroPress a
long time ago. He is a Professor in the Computer Science department at City
