[texhax] Creating New Document Class

Hi !

I am trying to work on a document which will contain Call Detail Records
(CDR in telco jargon), list of telephone calls made using longtable. Is
there any document class package available for such or can anyone point me
to link or reference that will allow me to create my own document class? I
think the article class is quite restrictive since it got all the margins
and and so on set .
