kpathsea SELFAUTOLOC is wrong

SELFAUTOLOC is putenved by an application which is linked
with kpathsea. It is just the directory where the application
exists. Thus
/usr/bin/kpsewhich --var-value=SELFAUTOLOC
shows /usr/bin

/usr/local/texlive/2020/bin/x86_64-linux/kpsewhich --var-value=SELFAUTOLOC
shows /usr/local/texlive/2020/bin/x86_64-linux
etc.

You have to define PATH properly.
