[tex-live] tlmgr: auto-install and -remove seem broken

After update my local CTAN mirror and running tlmgr with some environment 
settings in front I got

eqnarray (collection-mathextra): removed package
remove eqnarray (removed on server)
update: collection-mathextra (11082 -> 11109) ... done

auto-install: vaucanson-g (collection-pstricks)
tlmgr: package log updated 
at /usr/local/texlive/2008/texmf-var/web2c/tlmgr.log
running mktexlsr
