You mean, automatically do the update of the most critical packages
without even asking?  Sorry, I don't like that idea at all.
    
    BTW, out of two twin packages which popped up at CTAN (td-clock and
    analog-clock) only one came to tonight update? Is it because
    analog-clock requires some font installation?

Yes.  Specifically, as far as I could tell it requires the font to be
installed at the system level (not the TeX hierarchy), because it's used
from JavaScript.  (The reader's system, at that, not even just the
composer's system.)  We aren't prepared to do that across all platforms
and probably never will be.
