[tex-live] compiling texlive

Sorry, guys, I cannot make lcdf-typetools compile under 
Linux. Someone cleverer than me can work out the compiler 
errors. I HATE THIS BIT OF SOFTWARE!

The only way I can proceed to the end now is

  --without-texinfo  (thats bizarrely broken too)
  --without-lcdf-typetools (BUT THAT DOESNT WORK!)

so I edit TeX/Makefile and remove the lcdf horror by hand.
