Hi 胡亚捷,

in German  'alphabetic' means 'letter', i.e. 'a' is alphabetic, but '1' 
is not. But of course, if in English 'alphabetic' means 'character', you 
are right and it shouldn't be changed for the sake of consistence with 
Knuth's \OEvre.
