The Latin Modern Sans Serif Fonts were designed
to extend the glyph coverage of the Computer Modern family. They are
provided as Type 1 as well as OpenType fonts. Yet another implementation of The Computer Modern fonts with
enhanced glyph coverage is
the New Computer Modern
fonts. These fonts tend to keep the visual design of the original
Computer Modern Fonts. The New Computer Modern fonts come in
OpenType only. As the original design of the Computer Modern fonts were made in
MetaFont with a high degree of parameterization, several
modifications of the fonts are available. Furthermore there are several re-implementations of the original
fonts as demonstrated above. The Computer Modern Sans Serif Quotation is made a bit wider than
the original. It has an European version as well.
The Latin Modern Sans Serif Extended is made a bit wider than the
original as well.
The Computer Modern Bright font is a brighter version of the
