Meeting Places at Vancouver International Airport

The cab fare from Vancouver Airpot to the UBC campus is around $25.CAD.
If you would like to arrange to meet friends at the airport to share a cab,
there are a number of meeting points set up on both the departure and arrival levels.

For Arrivals, there are points both in the Domestic Terminal and the International one,
as well as `the link' connecting these two.

Airport Improvement Fee (AIF)

Passengers departing Vancouver International Airport are required to purchase an Airport Improvement Fee ticket.
Children under two and passengers connecting through Vancouver Airport on the same day are exempt.
AIF tickets must be presented (along with airline tickets and boarding passes) as you pass through the
airport security checkpoint on your way to the flight gate area.

FEE SCHEDULE
Payment can be in cash or by credit card.
• $5 for passengers travelling to a destination within British Columbia or the Yukon.
• $10 for passengers travelling to other North American destinations, including Hawaii and Mexico.
• $15 for passengers travelling to destinations outside North America.

How to get to UBC

Getting Around UBC

Getting to Downtown Vancouver from UBC:

Downtown Vancouver is a 20 minute ride from UBC. There are taxis around Gage Residence, or buses from the bus loop just behind the Student Union Building, that will take you downtown.

From downtown by bus, just take anything that says UBC on it (in Vancouver, for instance, routes 4, 9, 10, 25, 41, 44, 49, and 99). Buses run every 10-15 minutes. For a full schedule refer to BC Transit's Web Site which has bus frequency listings available.
