I guess you mean an update to MacTeX or maybe an update to BibDesk; if 
so, please subscribe to the TeX on Mac OS mailing list:

and post your question there (but please be more specific about what did 
you update). It's been some time since I've used MacTeX, but I never had 
such an issue.
