[texhax] Virtual Font file format

Hello,
I would like to ask where can I find a good documentation on the Virtual Font file format? I've searched the Web with Google but have no luck.
I am writing a DVI driver. Currently, it can convert a DVI to EMF natively, and to  PNG and PDF via the Cairo graphics library. I don't use PK fonts; instead, I used the TFM files and the corresponding PFM/PFB files.
