I would say miktex has problems to write the dvi on your M-Drive. 

I never used Vista, but you are trying to write to the root of the
drive (M:\test02.tex) and I found a lot of posting which suggest
that vista doesn't allow to write files there. Try to move your
document to a folder on M:
