[texhax] Installing TeX Live 2009 on Windows 7 Pro x64

The first time I tried to install LeX Live, the process was really really
slow, so it quit.

The second time I tried, the installer failed left right and sideways with
several copies of the following error:

(null): fatal: Can't get long name for C:\texlive.

I didn't do anything special, just double-clicked the install-tl.bat
installer.

Specs:

TeX Live 20100512
Windows 7 Pro x64
MacBook Pro

Additional information:

I just helped the Haskell community with a very similar
bug<http://trac.haskell.org/haskell-platform/ticket/136>in their
installer. Check out the relevant code for more information.
