Dear Rolf,

I think it's just a simple misunderstanding. If you replace
\thispagestyle{empty} (which is meant for completely empty head and foot)
by \thispagestyle{plain} (which is meant for some minimal head and foot),
it works as desired, at least in the test case you sent.
