To Whom It May Concern,
I just installed MiKTEX, WinEdt, Ghostscript and GSView on my new HP laptop using TeX disks that I recieved back in 2005.
After the installation, I successfully opened a .tex document in WinEdt, but when I tried to Texify I got the following message in the DOS window:
This is e-TeX, Version 3.141592-2.2 (MiKTeX 2.4)
"etex.exe" --ini --interaction=nonstopmode --halt-on-error --alias latex *latex.
ltx \dump

I get a similar message (including the last 3 lines) at the end of trying to just "Tex" as opposed to "Texify" it. The resulting pdf or dvi is some distorted version of only the beginning of my document.
FYI, I successfully used this software on my old laptop when I installed it the first time back in 2005.
I would greatly appreciate any information you could give to help me solve the problem.
Thank you for your time.
