[texhax] Makeglossaries: nothing in .gls file, error in .glo file

The glossaries file contains \es at roman in the location part. Makeindex 
can't cope with that so you'll have to use xindy instead. Minimal example:

\documentclass{article}

\usepackage[spanish]{babel}
\usepackage[xindy]{glossaries}

\makeglossaries

\newglossaryentry{sample}{name={sample},
description={a sample entry}}

\begin{document}
\pagenumbering{roman}
A \gls{sample} entry.

\printglossaries
\end{document}
