In case it useful to someone out there: Skim is a versatile pdf-reader for 
OS X that reloads to the same page if desired, and allows for easy 
retrieval of the source code corresponding to a given place in the pdf and 
vice versa.  I use it with Aquamacs, an Emacs-based editor for OS X.
