Hello,
I'd propose two not very elegant hacks:
The bibentry should read:
...
title="{Language Change:\ Progress or decay?\killstop}",
...
Then, in your document, either
\bgroup
\catcode`\.13
\gdef\killstop{%
\global\catcode`\.13
\gdef.{\global\catcode`\.12\relax}%
}
\egroup
or:
\def\gobblestop#1#2{#1}% We have to take care of \maybe at ic at the end of
\emph
\def\killstop{%
\aftergroup\gobblestop
}
I can't say which is best.
