[texhax] Help Needed with Texlive 2008 on Linux Kubuntu x86_64

Hi!

I installed Texlive 2008 using the installer-tl script I downloaded
from TUG a few weeks ago.  Everything seemed to go well, but when I
ran tlmgr today, I got the following error:

"Fundamental package bin-texlive not present, that is sooo bad."

I can't figure out a way to fix this.  What can I do?
