Thanks for the kudos, but we (TL) didn't write any of the lzma tools
ourselves.  The format was invented by Igor Pavlov (who wrote 7-zip),
and we use the lzmadec from the lzma-utils (http://tukaani.org/lzma).

Technically, it is essentially the standard "deflate" ([g]zip) algorithm,
but with a vastly increased dictionary size.
