[texhax] ~\ref in sidewaystable (rotating package) fields w/ hyperref...

i'm using the hyperref package w/ pdflatex, and while the proper text 
appears in the .pdf for any of the ~\ref i use in a sideways table (part 
of the rotating package) it is not hyperlinked in the .pdf.

do i have to \protect on ~\ref in the \sidewaystable fields?  or anything 
else?  the links are ok when just using \table
