First: Calm down. :-)
Before you delete anything in your source text, make a copy of it.
I've never used \underarc, but a quick search on google points to the
arcs package (http://www.ctan.org/tex-archive/macros/latex/contrib/arcs/).
Did you somehow loose the \usepackage{arcs}?
