She might have learned a great deal if you had taught
her to mark up the essay for herself; if she had done
so, and had tagged each of the vocabulary words as such

     "... avoiding excessive \vocabulary {profits} whilst still ..."

she would not only have achieved her immediate goal but
would have learned a far more important lesson : the
importance of proper tagging in document markup.

"Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day;
  Teach a man to fish, and you feed him for life."
