[texhax] environment with smaller typeface and narrower margins

I tried and it didn't work with a right margin; this works:

\newenvironment{myquote}{\list{}{%
\setlength{\leftmargin}{1.5em}%
\setlength{\rightmargin}{1.5em}}%
\relax\item\ignorespaces\fontsize{10}{12}\selectfont}{\unskip\endlist}%
