[texhax] listings package missing on OS X

I don't know much about TeX distributions for Mac OS X. But modern
Web2c based distributions already provide an empty texmf-local tree
and the search paths are configured appropriately.
If such a directory already exists it should be sufficient to create a
directory texmf-local/tex/latex/listings for the .sty file and run
texhash. The documentation should be installed in in texmf-local/doc
accordingly.
If a texmf-local directory does not exist, it is more advisable to
look into the documentation of the particular TeX distribution first
before reading the FAQ. It is most likely in texmf/doc.
