[texhax] basic question on LaTeX code

Hi,

I'm a novice LaTeX user and am in the process of writing my thesis in 
LaTeX.  I'm using a *.cls file that someone else wrote, and there is a 
15 line '\def' statement that causes the color package to crash when I 
include it.  Is there a general mailing list that I could just simply 
ask a group of advanced users about that 15 line define statement?
