[texhax] TFM files

Hi: I am trying to use the package ifsym with the geometry option as 
this seems to have the best
collection of well-balanced open & closed symbols for captioning 
figures of datapoints on graphs ...
however it only comes with a number of *.MF files and not TFMs (?) 
which my LaTeX
complains is missing
" font uigeo10.tfm not found"
where/how do I generate same please? [I cannot find the answer in Kopka & Daly]
