I am a new subscriber here so possibly asking about something most know
the answer to.

 

I use latex quite a lot to write math papers but always have trouble
when I try to make slides, using the slides document class.

 

I cannot get most of the usual math commands such as \begin{equation} or
\begin{multline} or \begin{matrix} to work when I use the slides
document class, with the result that I often have problems creating
slides with complicated math formulae.

 

Is there something I need to add in the preamble or what is the
solution?
