Maybe it's a good idea to look at the following packages at well:
<CTAN>/tex-archive/macros/latex/contrib/pdfslide
<CTAN>/tex-archive/macros/latex/contrib/pdfscreen
seminar.cls uses PostScript \specials and you probably need pdftricks
to make it work if you want to produce PDF.
An other (non-LaTeX) way to produce slides is to use Context, see
http://www.pragma-ade.com/
