[texhax] Special page numbering

Hello,

I would like to number the pages in my appendices as A1, A2...B1, B2..., but I 
can't figure out how. The reason I want to do this (in case someone has a 
better suggestion for accomplishing the same thing) is for statistical 
reports, I have large appendices of output, which does not change often. I 
would like the print out these pages at an early stage and not reprint them 
with each draft, but I want the page refs and ToC point to the original pages. 
I have been simply resetting the page counter, but I end up with several page 
1s and 2s in the ToC, etc. Can a new num_style can be defined that 
incorporates the appendix number (letter)?
