[tex4ht] future support planned for multicol package using CSS3 multi-column?

I was just wondering if htlatex will *eventually* support
multicol package using CSS3 as shown here:

http://www.css3.info/preview/multi-column-layout/

It would be nice to be able to use multicol package to
layout table of contents in 2 columns for example, which
works now in latex and pdflatex but not in htlatex.
