I don't think so. In the case of russian the wrong text for june is
in such a definition:
\def\daterussian at ancient{....}
It is quite difficult to see how one could misunderstand the
"@ancient" in the command name (but easy to see that one could
confuse \cyri and \cyrii).
The latin bug is quite different and you only found it because you
started to looking at the attributes.
