[tex-live] tlmgr update --self fails

Dear Karl,
I thank you for the prompt response. I was not clear, as it is usual for me
sometimes. I have installed TeXLive2012 from the Thai repository,
downloading the ISO file. As I was trying to update the ISO file to the
most recent updated file, there was no way for me for tlmgr to work. I know
that tlmgr should at least update itself, as it happened in my MacTeX
configuration or the TeXLive installed in my netbook.
This does not happen in my office. We use a proxy server, which creates
lots of problems for updating even some other programs.
