Oops sorry, yes I meant MacTex using the Tex Live Utility

What on earth are you talking about? Could you please try to be
a bit more specific?
There is no "MacTeX Live". THere is MacTeX which is based on TeX Live
with additional components for integration into MacOS.
That is the best you can install on a Mac.
