[tex-live] tlmgr --repository http://tlcontrib.metatex.org/2010 does not work on the command line

Martin Schr{\"o}der reports that 

	tlmgr --repository http://tlcontrib.metatex.org/2010 update --all

works for him (machine unspecified), whereas Peter Dyballa
<Peter_Dyballa at freenet.de> found that it fails on Windows:

	D:tlmgr:main: ::tldownload_server not defined

I've just made the same test on Solaris SPARC at my site, and found
that it works fine here:

    $ tlmgr --repository http://tlcontrib.metatex.org/2010 update --all
