Though I all for reading manual, I don't think this is going to change
any time soon; when I first used a computer (like 5 years ago or
something) people would usually be surprised that I actually read the
instructions written in dialogue boxes (we are not even talking about
manuals) and would sincerely advice me to just click next next next and
the magic would happen. So though I don't see much that texlive can do
to help here, apart from what it already offers, I sympathise with Lars
here.
