[tex-live] Trying to maintain updated TL installation on Cygwin

When I do [*]:

rsync -avz --delete ftp.dante.de::CTAN/systems/texlive/tlnet/2008 \
./texlive

now, only after the servers have synced (for example dante.de a few
minutes ago), there is the reported message error:

rsync: recv_generator: mkdir "/tmp/texlive/2008/archive/...." failed: No
such file or directory (2)
*** Skipping any contents from this failed directory ***

and this happens both if I have a previous tree /tmp/texlive/..., both
if I start from scratch :

mkdir /work
cd /work
rsync -avz...

The message error was absent previously.

After the message, rsync continues to download the needed files.

The question is: since it seems that recently there were problems
(bin-texlive not updated etc.), are we sure that what rsync downloads is
all we need?

My post was only a suggestion to verify if all is working fine now.
