Strange. What did not work? As far as I see from your diff it must be
the window width. But the height at least *did* work, or?

The +  $mainwindow->configure(-height => $rh, -width=>$rw);
was a bit surprising, I would have expected that it adjusts itself to
the size given by the sub-widgets.

Anyway, all you committed looks fine, thanks.

I don't have time to test it now, but will try in the next days.
