My problem is that, now that I have recompiled the binaries, kpsewhich
doesn't crash when I start it from the command line:
$ export PATH=/home/fab/test/texl/source/inst/bin/x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu:$PATH
$ which kpsewhich
/home/fab/test/texl/source/inst/bin/x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu/kpsewhich
$ /home/fab/test/texl/source/inst/bin/x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu/kpsewhich
Missing argument. Try kpsewhich --help' for more information.
However, when I start install-tl, then kpsewhich gives floating point
exception. So I need to trace kpsewhich faults when install-tl is running.
I'll try replacing kpsewhich with a script that runs 'gdb kpsewhich', and
see what it gives...
