[tex-live] TL 2008: install doesn't work?

Hello.

I'm trying to install the latest TeXLive (2008) on my laptop; it runs
Slamd64 (slackware 11 for AMD64).

I downloaded the install script, then, as root, ran

./install-tl

I didn't change anything to the default configuration.

It downloaded a lot of packages, but at the end I got

How can I make the script find these 'updmap.cfg', 'tcfmgr' and
'fmtutil.cnf'?
