Did you do that with
	updmap-sys --enable Map XXXX.map
	updmap-sys
(the -sys variant makes it available for *all* users, ie in TEXMFCONFIG;
while the variant without -sys does the same in your home directory
%USERPROFILE%:

The output of updmap(-sys), does it list the map file you installed?
