As a Gentoo user I'm very glad to hear this.  Thank you very much for

The main idea of tlpkg is to provide something which is easier to
parse than XML.  Switching to tlpkg makes a lot of sense.  And I don't
know whether you can rely on the list files in the future.  There are
a few things in the repository which are kept for compatibility with
the existing installers.  They might disappear sometime.  But you can
always rely on tlpkg.
