Dear friends!
Another set of binaries are ready on the tug server. I consider them
quite stable and well working.
Please really give them a try, if you can. You have to have debian/sid
running, as the shlib-depends are build on my sid box, sorry. Please
also read http://www.tug.org/texlive/debian.html
On my todo list there are only a few things open:
- man page links for some programs are lost (dh_compress problem)
- depends on perl if there is a perl script missing
- aleph and lamed do not work with all languages installed, trie_size?
- long term: make other packages play well
I am off for the whole weekend, so do NOT expect any responses from me.
Furthermore: I start working on `real' debian packages, i.e. packages
with rules, orig.tar.gz etc etc which we could thinl about uploading.
A first start is done, see Master/debian. If someone has time and fun
he could edit the Description fields of the various control files ;-)
For arch-independent packages I am more or less finished, this works
quite well. Now I have to think about how to do it with the building of
binaries. Grmmm.
Best wishes
Norbert
