FYI,

I've just updated kpathsea files in the development tree to (mostly)
match my current files.  Barring bugs I don't expect significant
changes between this kpathsea 3.5.3.  (Comments and documentation may
change.)

Hans Hagen in particular may want to read the NEWS.
