No problem.  It was just strongly worded.
Starting by saying "thanks for the report" always helps :).
"[But we need to see the complete source file]"
(This guy seems to have a thick skin, anyway.)

FWIW, the GNU maintainers document has some reasonable (IMHO) advice
about dealing with mail, especially towards the end of the node.
