[tex-live] Texlive 2004 problem

Dear all,

I have tried to install Texlive 2004 to win2000 and
have encountered the following problem. The kpsewhich.exe
refuses to run. After starting kpsewhich I get the message
"Application failed to initialize properly. Press OK to terminate
application". So I could not get further than the first step of
installation.

Please help.
