apart from some old bug that i've forgotten about, in context i ran into bug with \lastnode, token registers>255 and i have some code that uses more boxes that 255 as well (interesting i always though that funny effects in that code was originating in the application, not in etex)

are all those fixes somehow also tested in the etex trip test? (or maybe etrip should be extended?)
