[tex-live] Need some help with utopia mapping/locations(?) problem (updmap)

Hello,

since the new TL and recent changes in updmap and locations of map  
files I am experiencing the following problem. When I use utopia.sty  
and I have added utopia.map via updmap, still mktexpk is being called  
to generate a pk font. As this used in the previous setup with updmap  
and locations, I suspect this is a settings/location issue. Here are  
the tex file and the output, what causes this?

  I suspect that something might have changed in the encoding? putb8r  
and stuff is what is in my utopia.map, while ot1put.fd contains other  
names. However, adding usepackage[T1]{fontenc} does not help. On the  
other hand, this used to work before the updmap locations change, so it  
might not be this.

Can someone help me?
