Folks,

Build says:

chmod -R u+w .
make clean
find . -name config.cache -print -exec rm -f {} \;
./configure --prefix=`pwd` --datadir=`pwd` --enable-multiplatform
make world
make extras

Two questions:

1. how do i tell it to *install* in /usr/local/teTeX with "make install"?
2.  configure: warning: No texmf tree found at 
/usr/local/src/perforce/TeXLive/Build/source/texmf.
   If you do not have the files, you can retrieve a minimal set from
   ftp://ftp.tug.org/tex/texklib.tar.gz, which is mirrored on CTAN hosts
   in systems/web2c.  Winging it.

is that serious?
